Bushs sppesc on paper I find no different then on paper. I think both were somwaht persuasive, but the more I think the less they become. It is persuasive to know that the way the president acted toward it was great. The way he visited the sites more that 10 times, and he gave a humungous speech on it. Then to think that he sent help almost a week later. And he probably didnt even write the speech. Him the president not writing the speech to the U.S.A., his country, just seems wrong. I think that he should at least take a week to write a speech to his people that he means from his heart. But I think the speech on paper was more persuasive because you dont see him. You dont hear him speak, and you dont get the same feeling as if you were watching it. As in the video, you see and hear him. So I think the transcript was more persuasive for me.

When i read president bushs transcript it was just words to me. i couldnt get a complete idea of what he wanted done and how much he wanted it done. i wasnt sure if he even cared enough to write the speech himself, it could have been someone elses writting for all we know, but that aspect soon changed as i then watched the televisioned speech. seeing him actually in new orleans helped. i was looking at him, with his sleves rolled up like he wanted to take action right that very moment and fix everything. the way he talked and presented his speech with so much strength is hard to thinmk he dosnt care.becase his speech was in new orleans it tell me that he took an effot to travel there. he cared about new orleans, he could havesimply precented his speech new his house. all of thses little things add up and give a huge impression, that he actually does care about the huge mess in new orelans and how eager he is to improve it. the transcrpit cant give you you little details like so and give you a complete picture. by comparing the transctipt and televised speech, the televised speech was more pursuasive.

I think the video is more persuasive because it shows his hand gestures and his face expressions. This allows the viewers to see how he feels about this subject. People can understand him and that is very important even though he probably didn’t write that speech. Naming the people that helped and saved life’s really showed that he cared and actually went down there. Most of the time he was talking about how the people felt and there situations. Some presidents from other countries don’t care about their people and leave them there to die. He also talks about the future, and that helps some people get through the disaster. He tried to help by giving the number to the victims that lost their family’s or that need a place to stay. He says that the communities and buildings are going to be stronger and that helps people move on. Having goals to rebuild is a big step to recovery.
