i think its was kind of weird how the president was saying things. he would like, move his arms and smile alot, even when its a tragedy he was talking about. i think he was saying all that just because its what the people wanted to hear, but he didnt specificlly mention exactly what he's doing to help. i dont think he's going to do much.

When I saw the video its really shocking about incident that really gives you the chills. Bush should take things more responsblity and taking more recognition upon the people and sending more rescue workers to help.

its horrible how in our own country, something like this could happen. in the united states, no one ever thinks it could happen to us, but Katrina opened a lot of peoples eyes. the broadcast made very good point and showed horrifying things, its hard to believe that all those people were basically left to defend for themselves, and try to just have food and water, while most everyone else is in front of their television watching it go on while eating their TV dinners. i think its sad that a country so developed can let something like that happen.

i totally agree witj rosa because it is true.
many americans see what is going on and just go on with their life not affected.
I do believe violent movies make us okay with seeing these things happen in real life, so we are okay with it.
i think rosa's comment was very good when responding to the news cast.

i agree, o yhought the government did a lot more then what is shown in rthis film. i guess not. i feel bad for the people of louisiana, and i want to help them some how, because they dont deserve to live under the conditions that they are living under right now.

Before i watched this little video, i thought that the government helped the people of hurrican katrina. But when i saw this video, the government is barely helped. There were only few volunteers. People are starving in New Orleans and the couldn't even get food for a long while. I think that they shouldn't have waited awhile before they helped. it's pretty sad..

its sad to hear that people were treated that way, but it is also sad that people didnt know what was really happening. its like the truth wasnt put out there enough for people to see, which is sad because i think if we ( young teenagers ) dont know what is going on now, how are we really going to know about things and try and change the world for the better when we are older?

Before i, even started watching this video i though that the goverment and people were helping out on the kartrina disaster, but after watching the video it maded it seems like there was no one really helping out on the situation. I think that they should get full attention because our country and people should come frist, they should'nt be left hanging if it wasnt even their fault on the nautral disaster. I think the goverments and Bush need to stand up for their country not just by telling but by showing they care.

Patrick Tiu- Kanye west made the comment, "Bush doesnt care about black people". As seen in the video, the majority of the victims seemed to be african american people. Im really not trying to be rude, but do you think that if the majority of the victims were of white decent, Bush would try to help more? Besides the racial concerns, how do you think you as an individual would feel if this happened to you and you were in this tragic situation?

I cant belive that so many people where just pushed aside for so long withou food water and the basic necessities. why is this not on bushes number one priority? Shouldn't he be more concerned because it is happening in his own country? There is something fishy going on here in my point of view.

I totaly agree with you. I don't see how you can be so heartless to that many people in need. I know if were President I would try to help the people then build the city. I think this totally rediculous how you just cast off the people of your Country.

Is it true that all news stations are out to change your mind on some subject? Or, is it that they intend to inform the public? You must refer to the Katrina broadcast, and use evidence from this in your answer!

while i was watching this, i noticed it didnt mention that people were helping out. yes, its tragic that it happened, yes its bad that everyone is blaming each other. but its not like there is no one trying to help out. there are alot of organizations that are helping the katrina victims, and i dont think that the video by amy goodman showed that. in fact, while amy was talking, it showed the army coming in and driving familys out of new orleans. So if they didn't say that people were helping, i wonder what else did they miss?

I think it's wrong how no one wanted to take action and they kept saying that it was someone elses job to take of it. I think Amy goodman made it seem that there were relief workers there but they weren't doing anything. I understand that helping everyone will take some time, but how long do they have to wait. When that body was just sitting there for almost a month that just made me disturbed. Especially when it didn't move a week after she told everyone that it was there. I think that the broadcast was persuasive, but very one sided. -Barrett Wangara Class of 09

i agree with veronica, the deaths were outragous, and the poeple who searched and searched with no water to be found. But i think that thats no what diddys intention to make it seem like bush created this disaster. i think hes just saying that he could help black (african america) people way more than what hes doing.

Listen you ladies thinks the deaths were outrageous come on its disgusting. Bush did the right thing but come on what about the international rescue workers they help is us. Even the African American Community takes some rights that they want food and so on. Bush would never create this disaster he in the past did lot effort to help them you think Bush sent the army to help every time when disisater occurs in New Orleans feels so like Iraq.

I think news broadcasts definently change your opionion. I think they are intended to inform the public but the broadcasters are putting opinion and emotion into their work. Amy Goodman as well as all the other peolpe who speak put their own opinion, on perfect examlpe is Kanye West when he makes his statement about President Bush not liking black people.
